Your pet must move around the pattern to reach each portion, creating a slower and more engaging feeding routine than a flat bowl.

The textured outer area can hold a thin layer of appropriate soft food for supervised licking activities.

1. Wash the mat thoroughly before first use.
2. Place it on a clean, flat, smooth surface.
3. Press the suction base firmly against the surface.
4. Gently test the mat to confirm that it is attached before adding food.
5. For slow feeding, spread your pet’s measured kibble or wet-food portion through the central grooves.
6. For licking enrichment, apply a thin layer of appropriate pet-safe food over the textured outer surface.
7. Supervise your pet throughout the session.
8. Remove the mat as soon as the food is finished.
9. Clean it thoroughly after every use.

For dogs:
• Wet dog food
• Plain pumpkin purée without added sugar or seasoning
• Pet-specific spreadable treats
• A small amount of xylitol-free peanut butter

For cats:
• Wet cat food
• Cat-specific meat purée
• Vet-approved feline treats

Use only foods appropriate for your pet’s diet.

Always check peanut butter and other human-food labels for xylitol. Xylitol is toxic to dogs.

1. Remove all remaining food immediately after use.
2. Rinse the mat with warm water.
3. Wash it with mild dish soap and a soft brush or sponge.
4. Pay particular attention to the grooves, corners, and underside of the mat.
5. Rinse thoroughly to remove all detergent.
6. Allow the mat to dry completely before storing or reusing it.
