- Use a soft measuring tape while your dog is standing naturally.
- Measure the neck around the lower base of the neck, rather than directly around the throat.
- Measure the chest around the widest part of the rib cage, just behind the front legs.
- Compare both measurements with the verified size chart.
- Choose the size based primarily on chest girth while confirming that the neck range is also suitable.
- Loosen the adjustable straps before putting the harness on your dog.
- Guide your dog’s head carefully through the neck opening.
- Position the main body of the harness centrally along the back.
- Bring the chest and belly straps into position and securely fasten all buckles.
- Adjust each strap evenly so the harness sits securely without pinching.
- Check that you can comfortably fit approximately two fingers beneath the straps.
- Ensure the harness does not rub behind the front legs or restrict shoulder movement.
- Attach the leash to the appropriate verified attachment point.
- Recheck the buckles and fit after several minutes of walking.
